Literacy - Literacy Teacher
My name is Daisie Foglesong, and I am currently a literacy teacher at CRES. I began to call Carbondale my home in 1999 when I searched Colorado for the best town in the state. I love small town living and the natural beauty of this valley. I attended Michigan State University (and like to connect with the many Michigan to Colorado transplants) and University of Colorado, Boulder as an undergraduate studying Spanish. I have been able to put my Spanish language skills to work here at CRES as a Spanish teacher in the past and also in communicating with our bilingual families. I also have a Masters degree in Linguistically Diverse Education from the University of Colorado, Boulder. I believe that all students bring something amazing to our school and play a part in making this a great place to learn. I work hard to make CRES a safe and welcoming place for all of our students, and I enjoy getting to know them as well as I can. I like to get to know families too, and my door is always open if you would like to know more about what CRES kids are up to.. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and relaxing by reading, hanging out with my dogs, or doing pottery.
