I completed my teaching education in Mexico. I earned my BA in Elementary Education and later specialized in Language and Literacy. I have taught various grades from 1st up to the 6th grade. I have 40 years of experience teaching both in Mexico and the US. I moved to Carbondale 22 years ago and began working at CRES as a Teacher Aide in 2000.  I later obtained my Colorado Teacher License and worked as a Kindergarten teacher for 16 years here. Teaching has always been my passion and I thrive on my student’s success. I enjoy reading, walking, cooking, and spending time with my family. I have four daughters and a new grandbaby. I feel fortunate to live in Carbondale as I believe it is a unique opportunity to see how cultures come together to build a sense of community.  I gladly contribute to creating relationships among parents, students, and teachers.
