Hello Crystal River! My name is Jenni Hendrickson. My family and I moved up here 2 years ago for my husband Marks’ wonderful career opportunity. I took off a year to become familiar with the area and missed teaching too much…I had to come back to it as soon as I could. It’s what I do and my passion.
My husband Mark and I have three amazing boys, Alan (7), Case (5) & Coen (5). I also have an adorable English Yellow Labrador Retriever named Gauge. We also have a beautiful black and white paint, named Tux. As you can see, my hands and my heart are full of blessings!
I earned my BA in Behavioral Science and Early Childhood Education from Metro State College in Denver in 2004 as well as my MA in Curriculum and Instruction, Integrated Teaching through the Arts, through Lesley University in 2010. This will be my 12th year teaching. I taught Kindergarten for 10 years in Parker, CO for Douglas County Schools and taught 3rd Grade this past year in Glenwood Springs for RFSD.
I love Kindergarten, or as I sometimes call it, Kindyland! The kiddos at this age are so excited, love learning and have such an enthusiastic approach. At this age there so much growth that occurs in such a short amount of time. I love being there, guiding them, through their foundation to lifelong learning through a fun, respectful and safe environment. I believe anyone can be anything, through hard work and perseverance. All are capable of learning and deserve to enjoy their learning along the way. I can’t wait to help sculpt that for my Kindergarten class this year at CRES and get to know all of the wonderful people in our community!
